The design and development process:

  • Needs Analysis: I conducted an informal analysis to identify the target audience learners that lacked confidence in the kitchen, nutrional knowledge, or desire to make a change. Identifying the target audience allowed me to focus on the learning gaps and identify the course objectives.

  • Process Design: I developed step-by-step instructions, and list of substitute ingredients learners .

  • Interactive Elements: I included checklist of ingredients and tools for learners, interactive tabs, and knowledge checks to actively engage learners.

  • Tone and Accessibility: I maintained a friendly, conversational tone to resonate with staff while using simple language to ensure accessibility.

Action Map

I built this action map in Murel. The process helped guide the design of my training solution, ensuring a focus on behavioral change rather than just knowledge acquisition. To define the key actions, behaviors, and tasks learners needed to perform, I collaborated with my subject matter expert to improve nutrional health.

Recipe Card

I built this receipe card in Canva. The process helped guide the design of my training solution, ensuring a focus on behavioral change rather than just knowledge acquisition. I applied visual design based on the Gestalt Principles of Perception of applying similar colors and using theme colors to avoid cognitive overload.
